A Call to Stand and Prophesy

"My people who can hear My heart,
I am calling you to prophesy:
I am calling you to speak My words,
to cry aloud My truth,
to rebuke and call to repentance
those who call Me 'Lord, Lord'
but have forsaken My commands of love.

I am calling you to testify;
I am calling you to witness to who I am,
for many who call Me 'Lord'
do not know My ways or My heart.
I am calling you to proclaim
My teachings and My mercy,
and that judgment is coming:

I will raise up high those
who have been oppressed;
I will bring low those
who have been unmerciful;
I will uncover what has been hidden,
revealing the hearts of many
and judging those who love lawlessness.

Stand and prophesy, My people;
call your brothers and sisters
back to obeying My law
to love one another as I loved you
even while you were My enemies.
Stand and weep for the nations
their cold love has wounded in My name.

I am calling you to prophesy
because many speaking in My name
are prophesy falsely, as they serve
the gods of pride, nationalism, greed,
the image of Me they have made,
and the ungrace and violence
they believe earns My favor.

Do not be afraid, My people;
many will hate you in My name,
but many will also hear My heart,
and their hearts will turn to Me,
to their neighbors, to their enemies,
to the wounded and the least of these,
and I will save and comfort many."

Outpouring of Delusion

"Prosperity! Power! Wonders!
A powerful spirit of delusion
has poured out upon My people!

My command to take up the cross
has been thrown down
and the 'good news' of this spirit
has taken its place!

My people have been seduced
by the love of money,
the promise of prosperity,
and the lust for signs and wonders!

My people cannot discern
what comes from My Spirit
and what comes from
the spirit of delusion!

Open your eyes, My people!
Turn away from the riches of the world
and pick up the cross
which you have thrown down!

Repent of your lust for signs and wonders!
Stop trying to use My name
and My power to satisfy
the idols of your heart!

Repent and return to Me
before it is too late!"

The Bride and the Seduced

"The time has come of apostasy,
falling away and rebellion.
Lawless ones have come
from inside of the temple
and departed from the teaching
of the apostles of the Lamb.

Many are being seduced by
the temptations I resisted:

I refused to use the power of My Spirit
for My own personal gain,
but today many who call themselves 'anointed'
use My name and spiritual power
as a means of gaining wealth
and whatever miracles they lust after.

I refused to abuse My Father's trust
by acting reckless and expecting His protection,
but today many who call themselves 'God’s people'
mistreat and exploit their neighbors
instead of loving and serving them,
and expect not to reap what they sow.

I refused to serve Satan
and disregard My Father's commands,
but today many who claim to be part of My Kingdom
seek to take dominion over the lands,
peoples and kingdoms of the earth,
and so bow to Satan instead of to Me.

Those who have been seduced
appear prosperous and strong.
They cannot see the darkness
that surrounds them,
or the clouds of judgment
gathering overhead.

Cry out, My servants,
cry out for your brothers and sisters
who have become prostitutes!

Stand among them as witnesses
just as I dwelt among you
and made intercession for you.

Follow the Lamb:
love and weep for those in Babylon
just as I loved and wept for Jerusalem."

The Gospel of Another Fire

A few days ago I was sharing with a brother the pictures and messages of the two Bibles that the Lord had me desecrate a year ago. As I also shared about the burden on His heart for many of His beloved children in charismatic churches, the Spirit moved me and told me to make a third desecrated Bible:

"Paint a lion's face on an open Bible,
for many of My people in charismatic churches
have covered over My words with their word
about the glory of supernatural power.

Paint it in gold, for they have lusted
after dazzling signs and wonders,
worshiping the ability to perform miracles
and those who perform them.

Put feathers around the lion,
just as My people have collected "evidence"
of angels to confirm their good feelings
about their leaders and their meetings.

Cut out words from the gospels about miracles
which My people love to hear and use,
just as they cut My words out of their context
to support their demand for the miraculous.

Bind the rest of the pages with wire and tie barbs
to keep other passages from being read,
for My people have forbidden allowing their teachings
to be challenged and tested by the context of My words.

Paint the barbed wires gold,
for My people use having or lacking "faith"
to make My children doubt themselves
instead of teaching them to test all things.

Make this golden image over Acts chapter 4,
for My people have made an idol
of the supernatural signs and wonders
that were performed by the early church.

Do this on your book of Luke and Acts,
for many of My people in charismatic churches
have isolated the miracles of Christ and the apostles
as if these are the good news and the kingdom."

Then I asked,

"God, I love Your words, and I love it when You do miracles and wonders.
But is it really this bad? Why is it wrong for us to emphasize the miraculous?"

He answered:

“A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.”
(Matthew 12:39-42)

Then He said,

"My wisdom and My teaching should be enough."

I asked again,

"But surely it's not wrong to pray for healing?"

He answered,

"No, but many of My people are demanding it,
commanding it of Me or My servants,
determining My will for Me
and refusing to listen to My answer.

My answer is what will best help you and those you love,
not only for today but for eternity.
Trust in My timing, and trust that I love you
more than you are able to understand.
My 'no' is just as loving as My 'yes',
and I will not give you something you ask for today
if I have something better for you in the future.

I am the Lion of Judah, the Messiah and King,
but I am revealed to you as the Lamb who was slain,
and you are to follow Me in the path
of submission to My Father that I walked in as the Lamb.
When you cannot understand, say with Me to our Father:
'Not my will, but Your will be done.'
Do not presume to calculate My Father's will,
but wait for Him to answer in His time and in His way."

To make this desecrated Bible, God told me to use a volume of Luke & Acts I'd found at a used book sale some years ago. I loved the little volume and thought it neat that someone had put Luke's two books into a single volume. I loved the cover design and the title, too. But honestly, I never really used this little volume. I used my whole Bibles and New Testaments far more. This was more of a novelty item, truthfully, and I didn't actually need it at all. But it was so nice that I still wanted to keep it for myself, even when He called me to ruin it for this message.

As I reflected on this, the Spirit moved me and said that this has meaning, too:

"Much of the passion of My people for the miraculous
is for novelty's sake and for their own desires,
but I am calling them to let go of these
and pray instead for people who are truly in need.

I promised to baptize you with My Spirit and fire,
but My Spirit is a fire of passion for the world,
for you, your neighbor, and your enemy;
do not accept any other fire than My agape love!"

Profile of the Lawless One

"Who worships the virtues of war?

Choosing Rebellion

"There will be a strong deception
among My people in the days to come:
many will be awed by the powerful signs
performed by those who claim to interpret
what is happening in the earth,
and they will speak great blasphemies
against My command to love one another—
they will replace it with the command to defend
the nations that My people believe I favor.

My witnesses are being called
to speak My message to the rebellious:
I do not want any to be lost
—all are precious and loved by Me—
but when they forsake My way
they will bring great sorrow and suffering.
I will send My prophets to call them to repent.
If they refuse to return to Me,
I will allow destruction to overtake them.

Why will My people be hard of heart?
Why will they close their ears to My cries?
Why will they refuse My pleas and My love?
Why will many of them choose
what leads them to be destroyed?"

War Fantasies

Fantasy! Fantasy!
Many of My people have taken up
a sword in their hearts
instead of taking up their cross!
Many have exchanged loving neighbor and enemy
for fantasies of fighting spiritual battles!

Woe! Woe! Many of My beloved children
do not know who they are following!
Follow the Lamb! Follow the Lamb!
I have not called you to conquer as a lion
but to follow Me in My sufferings!
I am not the one leading you to love war!

Return! Return to your first love!
Remember when you first believed
and become a child once again,
or you will not be aware
when you know Me no longer
and have come to love another!

Turn back from your love of war
or My coming may not be
a day of rejoicing for you,
for you may not find Me as you expect!"

Not As You Think

"To Babylon:

Healing Without Depth

"I am not interested in healing the surface of your heart
while leaving deadly cancers alive and thriving within.
Yes, it is My great desire to heal and renew your heart,
but it is not My desire to ignore darkness within it,
nor to marginalize its idols and destructive desires.

I will not allow greed, nor injustice, nor self-centeredness,
nor glorying in nationalism, nor faith in 'righteous' violence,
nor cold love towards neighbors and enemies,
nor will I allow any other cancerous root
to live and grow in your heart uncontested.

I will not allow these strongholds of Satan to thrive—
not merely because of the transgression of the law of My Son,
nor only because of the abusive fruits that cause others to suffer.
But I will also expose them because I care about you, My beloved!
I do not want your heart to rot from the inside out."

Instead I ordained that sending My disciples

Do not reverse the commission I gave you!"

I am not leading you to
'advance the kingdom' and use

The devotion I am calling you to
is not to 'change the nations'

My kingdom is not spread by greater focus
on 'strategic warfare' and 'taking nations',
but rather by loving 'the least of these'!

Do not seek to build a 'kingdom' through
means I did not teach you or model for you;
do not follow another 'Christ' to another 'kingdom'!"

Holding On to Straw

Yesterday as I was writing to a friend, God reminded me of a dream
which I had many years ago. It came about a year after I had left an "apostolic-prophetic" network that I had been connected to (for about a year).

I was with leaders from the apostolic-prophetic network and their friends in other ministries, and we were in an upper room that had a table in the middle, but they weren't sitting at the table. The network's leader was near it, but most of them were standing, hanging out and talking with each other off to the side of the table.

We were talking enthusiastically about what some of the leaders had said, and I was glad to have been included. We had notes and pamphlets, and we had coffee (I had made theirs, and one of them had made mine). But as everyone talked,
I held back from saying some things that I didn't feel right about.

Then I was away from them around to the other side of the table, and I saw that I was holding onto a bundle of some dry blades of grass and stalks of straw, which they had given me. I set it on the table and then went around the table to where the network's leader was and told him some of the things I had wanted to say.
Then I saw that I had put the bundle of straw in his hands.

I looked on the table and saw some gold like dust that had seemed to have fallen from the bundle of straw. For a moment I doubted and wondered if the whole bundle was gold, even though I could see that the grass blades were thin, dry, and about to fall apart. He felt it was important for me to keep, and I wanted to please him.
Holding the bundle again, I went back to the table and set it on the gold
that seemed to have fallen from it earlier.

Suddenly a strong wind blew behind us, as if a hole opened up behind us and sucked everything towards it. I held onto the table and my legs flew in the air behind me,
but I had no trouble holding onto the table and didn't need to use any strength at all.
When the wind stopped a moment later, the bundle of straw was gone,
but the gold had remained on the table, melted like wax in long strips.
The network leaders and their friends were gone.



A word from the Lord:

"My children, I have prepared a table for you—My Son!
My Son is the only true foundation,
and only in Him can you fellowship with one another.

But many of you have gathered around your own prophecies!
You are moving away from the only true foundation
and are luring away many of My children with your teaching.

You flatter with your 'prophecies' until you are flattered back
and make My children afraid to let go of your teaching,
causing them to doubt what I have taught them.

But I am calling My children back to My Son
—back to the only true foundation—
and they will keep only what I have taught them.

I will sweep away all that is straw,
and only what is true will remain.
Will you hold on to Him or to your straw?"

Prophetic Signs

"I am the Light that exposes injustice
and reveals what has been done in darkness:

Many who prophesy in My name have spoken
as if the United States and Israel were founded
on righteousness and according to My word.
They do not want to see in their foundation
the signature marks of the wicked one,
who came to the land to steal, kill and destroy.

They choose to proclaim that the roots
of the United States and Israel are righteous,
and they call their people to honor their foundation.
They prophesy about the their nations being
a light of Biblical values, justice and freedom
among the nations and in the end times!

I have protected a remnant of the oppressed
—a remnant of Native Americans and Palestinians—
who survive as a continuing cry from My heart,
a call to the United States and Israel
to repent of injustice, tyranny, pride and lies,
and to instead embrace My commandment of love.

Their existence is an inconvenient stumbling block
to the pride of the United States and Israel,
a witness and testimony to heaven and earth
that no matter what 'prophets' may proclaim in My name,
I am not the founding father of their nations
which were built on the blood of 'the least of these'.

The founding father of the United States and Israel
has stolen, killed and destroyed generations
of precious people whom I died for on the Cross.
Generations of them remain devastated,
ignored and denied by those who prophesy politics
and conservative agendas instead of My kingdom.

Even those who embrace My truth and My ways
are pressured to reverence and not blaspheme
the foundation of the United States and Israel.
They are told, 'Speak only of the blessed greatness
of our nation as compared to other nations;
do not put your minor sufferings in the way of our destiny.'

But I am He who loves mercy and justice,
and My throne is founded on righteousness.
It is not My kingdom that they are prophesying!
My testimony and My commands are not their foundation;
they are not following the Lamb who was slain,
but the roaring of a lion that devours."

The Fruit of Repentance

A few weeks ago God gave me a dream at night:

I was in Native American lands. I was in the midst of a forest area, which was dry and like in winter-time. The trees were tall, grey, and had no branches or leaves. It was near to night.

I stopped at a wooden building that was like a shop for Native American souvenirs. The room was empty, however. While there I wanted to meet with the tribal elders. They came in and stood as if in a somewhat semi-circle line, facing me. I was drawn to them in my heart, and they gave their hearts to me and offered to include me in the tribe.

Then I had to go, but I would come back. My heart filled with love for them, and I wanted to come back to them. They had honored me with their love, and I wanted to honor them and love them back.

I was deeply moved by the dream, but didn’t write it down until a few weeks later when God reminded me of it. Again my heart was deeply stirred, so I prayed and asked God what it meant:

“The night is near for America; many who profess My name are as dead trees, as branches that have been removed because they do not abide in My love. Many are seeking ‘revival’ and practice ‘identificational repentance’ for the sake of land, but turn away from practicing My love.

I am sending My servants to repent to Native Americans for the way My people have treated them. Many have visited Native Americans in recent years to repent for past atrocities, but have then left instead of continuing relationship and becoming family with them. Many have repented only for the sake of ‘cleansing the land’ and ‘to bring revival,’ but have not stood with Native Americans in their needs, their troubles, and in their struggle to secure justice in America. In My name, many Christians have come to the house of prayer only for souvenirs – just to ‘get something’ from Natives and then leave them as abandoned and neglected as before.

Do not treat My beloved children as souvenirs!
Do not speak My name to them without giving My love to them!
Abide in My love for them: abide with them!”

put down the right amount of payment
in tithes, principles and declarations,
then they have the right to My favors.

I am with you, My child."

and set a choice before you:

close your ears and turn away in your hearts?"

Lust For the Supernatural

"Are My people deceived by the power
of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders?
Is it the strength of the evidence that
convinces My people to believe
in false prophets and to follow them?
Are My people being deceived against their will?

Aren't My people crying out and asking for
supernatural manifestations and displays?
Don't My people prefer to believe all things
instead of testing the spirits?
Don't My people even criticize those who question
as if they did not have enough faith?

How can My people resist
false prophets and wonders
if their hearts are already
lusting for the supernatural?"
