Uncovered

"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin,
we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

"Look! I am coming!
I am coming and every hidden thing shall be uncovered;
every heart shall be laid bare.
Every belief shall be shaken,
and every 'truth' shall be brought into the light.

"Be clothed! Be covered by My righteousness!
Let go of every 'fig leaf' and excuse,
and find your salvation only in My undeserved grace.
I am your only qualification!
No other justification is necessary.

"Be free! Holding onto your own vindication
only keeps you in fear of being shamed.
But I died to take away your shame—
so do not be afraid to admit your sins,
because I bore them for you on the Cross!

"Will you leave your righteousness on the Cross,
or will you cling to it in the hope of covering yourself?"
