"My prophets, I am with you! I have given you My heart, and you have chosen to receive it and speak when I commanded you to, even though you may have suffered because of it.
"Therefore I tell you that because you have been faithful with little, I am going to give you even more burdens of My heart to speak at My command. Your reward will be the fellowship of sharing in My sufferings.
"I am giving you My heart to share instead of giving you miraculous powers, for if people do not respond to My love, they will not respond even if I perform signs and wonders before them. As many looked for a Messiah who would lead them to military victories over their enemies, so today many are expecting an anointing of power that will produce signs and wonders to convict unbelievers and silence critics. They hope for the manifestations of Moses and Elijah, but I give you the spirit—the heart—of My prophets, the testimony of My own heart: My Son crucified for your sins, and His command to love your neighbor and enemy as He has loved you."
"I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on Me, the One they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son."
