Maddening Wine

"You believe you are rich,
favored by heaven with prosperity because of your righteousness!
You believe you are blessed,
protected because you profess My name and attend church!
You believe you are godly
because you preach morality and condemn sinners!
You believe you are just,
waging war on and executing those you believe are against Me!
You believe you are on My side
because you support Israel no matter what she does!

"Woe! Woe to you, America, for I know what is in your heart!
You cannot serve yourselves and serve Me at the same time—
you must choose one or the other!

"Woe! Woe to you, America, for you are mastered by your "rights"—
your 'right' to pursue riches, your 'right' to destroy your enemies,
and your 'right' to enforce the ministry of death under the banner of life!

"Woe! Woe to you, America,
for your 'greatness' is as filthy rags in My sight!
What will cover you in the day when your might fails,
when your allies and enemies come to strip you naked,
eat your flesh and burn you with fire?"
